    Dear Friends,

Sorry I haven’t updated my blog lately, but I’ve been busy with planning and preparations to cross the North Pacific into Alaska, which will possibly be my most challenging flight leg. Unfortunately, the current weather—with low freezing levels and icing—is not cooperating. I guess I have to earn each and every flight leg the hard way, since my timing with weather fronts hasn’t been the greatest!  For those of you wondering about my strategy for making the North Pacific crossing, it is really quite simple and echoes my approach to my North Atlantic Crossing: wait until the weather is right!!  For your review, I’ve attached two maps of the weather systems out here in the North Pacific—please see below.  Let’s hope for bluer skies soon!

Hi Captain Barrington I have my 7 year old right here by my side and she said to tell you hello and good luck on what look like the longest leg of your trip.her class still follow your every stop and they are excited to see that you will be heading back to the States soon, and I say hopefully to a big Ticker Tape Parade (smile) I am still amazed as I were when I met you of the lack of news coverage on such a monumental endeavor, but I'll hold my comments to that effect.Meanwhile those of us who believe In God and look to him for our reward are comforted to know that God is looking out for you and he will put in the hearts of those who love you and those who are very interested in your success, be awaiting your return with open arms and proud hearts, I met you only once for a brief momment and my daughter has never met you but I tell her everyday that we come online to check your progress that this young man is special and I'm sure his parents are very proud of him, A TRUE ROLE MODEL. oh hey Captain a little side track news just in case you did'nt see or hear about It, you remember you met me on the first leg of your trip In Cleveland, The Cleveland Cavaliers Guard Labron James last night had one of the most exciting 4th quarter heroics I have ever seen In Basket ball,I know you were into football but you had to see this guy last night,he was unreal he scored 29 of the last 30 points for the cavs and had a 48 point night.but the great part about it all was his interview after the game he didnt gloat about what he did he even praised the Pistons for being a great team, I mean these are the kind of life lessons our kids need to see and be encouraged over positive attitudes like that coming from youg people like yourself and other's are great for our kids today.Well take care Captain we will be checking back in on you later.

I hope the weather improves for you over the next few days.  I know how frustrating it can be waiting out bad weather.  Best of luck with this next challenging leg!
